Other Comments: 2007, not 2005! Only problems are that the parents eat the fry so I removed the eggs from the mops and the fry need infusoria or other very small food at first. Parents and older young doing great in a quiet community tank.

Other Comments: This is a staple fish to the hobby. Easy to keep and easy to breed. Only problem is the size of eggs and size of fry. I have to use infusoria (green water) to get the fry through the first week or so before they will take Artemia nauplii. Grown is quite slow, but the fish are hardy and I find losses are few in both eggs/fry. Very prolific egg layers once they're underway. I frequently have consecutive days when I remove remove 30+ eggs from the mop from a single pair. Eggs are laid at all levels.
