Other Comments: I researched F. grandis breeding in books, on the internet, through professionals, and every source I contacted said, 'We don't know. If you have any information, please contact us.' It was suggested that the species bred in mops and plants, but I found eggs on the bottom of the tank in the gravel, so once we found that they weren't mop-breeders, we've been able to get fifty to sixty eggs twice a week from two of our tanks. Each tank holds a trio of adults, two females and a male. The males can be particularly relentless about breeding, so we want to keep the ratios at least 2:1, female to male so as to reduce stress on the females.
