Other Comments: I maintain the adults and fry in water with 1 teaspoon of rock salt per gallon. It is especially important with fry or you will loose most of them to velvet. Spawning adults receive adult brine shrimp and small amounts of chopped black worms. They will also eat flake food reluctantly. Immature fish will begin courting and attempting to spawn at about 8 weeks.
