Location code: Aquarium strain | | Water conditions: Moderately hard and alkaline | Water temperature: 24-27oC | | Disposition: Active, but not aggresive | Community tank?: Doubtful, only with VERY calm fish | | Spawning Method: Peat (or similar) spawning substrate | Breeding problems: Skewed sex ratio | | Sex ratio: Almost all males | Breeding difficulty: Average | | Sucess: Fairly unsucessful | Years Experience: 2 | | Other Comments: This batch had about 10 individuals. Unluckily they were all male. This is such a slow grower, but it is also quite long-lived. The batch of furzeri I hatched at the same time are all long gone, yet these clearly still young fish, with lots of life left. One fish wildly outgrew the others, but didn't seem to eat it's siblings, though easily big enough to; they are very peaceful. | | Date this record created: 6th November 2008 | Breeding date: | | Breeder: | Location: |

They are not particularly canabalistic, and are unfussy eaters.
They are not shy, but tend to take quite a while to colour up. There are pictures of fully grown adults on my killiblog | | Date this record created: 31st December 2007 | Breeding date: | | Breeder: Jules | Location: UK |
