Other Comments: These fish spawn better when confined to a small tank I bred them in the small crittur tanks 6"x8"and they produced 3 eggs per day for 10 days and then they were separated for a couple of weeks and then put together again The eggs took about 3 weeks to eye up and they go jet black the fry seem to have difficulty getting out of the egg casing and a few died I found the best way was to put an airstone in with them an then they seemed to have no trouble in hatching The largest fry tend to eat the small ones so they have to be moved on until they have all grown past the easy meal stage
