This striking golden killifish comes from Madagascar, where it lives at higher altitude than other Pachypanchax species. For this reason it requires slightly cooler water in the aquarium.

Other Comments: I find they need a closed mop to hide the eggs, so wrap elastic bands round the mop at intervals. The eggs can be difficult to find in the mop. Hatching takes place at around 25 to 30 days, fertilaty can be a problem until fully mature.
