Location code:
Aquarium strain
Water conditions: Neutral Water temperature: 20-23oC
Disposition: Active, but not aggresive Community tank?: Doubtful, only with VERY calm fish
Spawning Method: Spawning MopsBreeding problems:
Poor egg survival
Sex ratio: Somewhat male heavyBreeding difficulty: Easy
Sucess: Fairly unsucessfulYears Experience: 1
Other Comments: A good starter fish for new breeders, they do not require difficult conditions as long as the usual water changes are made and they are conditioned with live food they will produce a good supply of fertile eggs. I found though the first months supply were not fertile, it was not until the fish were full grown that the eggs become fertile, and fry are quit easy to grow on.
