Location code: Aquarium strain | | Water conditions: Moderately hard and alkaline | Water temperature: 24-27oC | | Disposition: Slightly timid | Community tank?: Yes, a good community fish | | Spawning Method: Adult fish removed from tank | Breeding problems: none | | Sex ratio: | Breeding difficulty: Average | | Sucess: Fairly sucessful | Years Experience: 1 | | Other Comments: This is a beautiful Fundulus, with terrific orange finnage and a lovely blue eye. It is a bit shy, but a voracious eater. It will scoff down anything, dried, or live, including its own fry. Eggs are very large, and laid in mops and plants, but removing the adult fish and feeding the 'empty' tank artemia has been my preferred method, resulting in quick growing fry relatively quickly | | Date this record created: 29th March 2004 | Breeding date: 1st January 2004 | | Breeder: jules | Location: |
