Location code: Aquarium strain | | Water conditions: Moderately soft and acidic | Water temperature: 24-27oC | | Disposition: Slightly timid | Community tank?: Doubtful, only with VERY calm fish | | Spawning Method: Spawning Mops | Breeding problems: Skewed sex ratio | | Sex ratio: Almost all males | Breeding difficulty: Average | | Sucess: Average | Years Experience: 2 | | Other Comments: I really liked this fish. Breeding was easy and it was a good fish. But when the temperatures rose eggs developed into ALL males!! When weather was cooler is was somewhat male heavy, but we still got females. At high temps there were just NO females..... not even one! | | Date this record created: 9th January 2008 | Breeding date: | | Breeder: Karma Farm | Location: USA; CA desert |
